A day rooted in community

What a beautiful day celebrating community, food, and local growing at the annual Project Feed the Hood Garden Opening Day last May 23!

We were excited to be part of a space filled with connection and joyful moments — from seedlings and young trees finding new homes to local vendors sharing fresh bread, honey, mushroom dishes, chile, snow cones, and much more.

Events like these are about more than gardens. They create spaces where people gather, learn, support local growers, and strengthen community connections.

Food access is also about culture, relationships, and having places that bring people together.

A huge thank you to Project Feed the Hood, SWOP, all of the organizers, vendors, volunteers, and community members who made this day possible. We’re grateful to be part of communities that continue to grow — together.
